Sensible Screens

Concerned about excessive screen use in our schools in Burlington, VT?  So are we!

Data is beginning to overwhelmingly demonstrate the harms to kids who spend so much of their day in front of devices, and while the narrative has put responsibility on families to regulate their children’s access, the 1-1 device programs in our schools are an area where families have no control.

We have concerns about student safety online, about the negative social interactions that are so prevalent via these devices, and about the academic distraction and deterioration that comes along with heavy device use.
